Experience the Joy of God Within

You cannot reach God through the intellect. The attention (chitta) can become one-pointed only through the attainment of Self-realization. However, even a person who is Self-realized from birth must make personal effort for this. Your attention is so restless that it cannot concentrate on anything. I think this is the biggest problem. That is why even gurus are being bought and sold. We too are unable to practice Sahaja Yoga in a focused way. The attention has become unstable and is scattered everywhere, unable to attain any depth or height. If all of you stay together, the work will be accomplished. So, to concentrate your attention, clear out the rubbish. There is great beauty within you—allow it to become steady.

..........You should take pride in this nature. Then this beauty will manifest, and you will feel something like the gentle ripples of a lake within yourself. You will be able to experience the joy of God within you. No mental activity can make you feel this. You cannot reach God through the intellect."

Sahaj Yoga Meditation

**The Turiya State**

.........We live in three states. In the waking state, our attention wanders here and there, and we spoil our attention. The second state is when we sleep. Even while sleeping, thoughts of our past and other random things come to us. Then we go into a deeper sleep, called *Sushupti* (deep sleep). In this state, you are in deep sleep and have dreams, which may even come true. You may even dream about Me. This is the divine part of the unconscious, where beautiful information is conveyed. For example, suppose I am going to come to Italy, and the people there come to know about it in the *Sushupti* state.

........But the fourth state is called the *Turiya* state. There are two more states. You are in the *Turiya* state, in which you remain in thoughtless awareness. When there is no thought—just think about it—when there is no thought, you have to become innocent; you have to know the Consciousness. You cannot remain attached to anyone. So this state of thoughtless awareness in which you are is the *Turiya* state. In this state, these four petals that are within you must open in your Sahasrara. They extend from your heart to your brain. Then you will truly understand what God is. This is the time when you receive true knowledge.
