Relationship between Meditation and Divine Energy

Sahaj Yoga –
The Relationship Between Meditation and Divine Energy
Meditation is an important means to bring balance and peace to human life. According to Sahaj Yoga, meditation is not just a mental exercise, but a process of awakening the soul. It connects us directly to our inner divine energy.
Sahaj Yoga was founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, who explained that every human being has a subtle energy within, known as the Kundalini Shakti.
This energy rises through the chakras located in our body and, by touching the Sahasrara chakra, connects us to divine energy. When a person meditates through Sahaj Yoga, this process happens naturally (sahaj).
After the awakening of Kundalini, a person experiences peace, joy, and cool vibrations within.
These vibrations are considered the direct experience of divine energy. Sahaj Yoga teaches that divine energy is not outside, but exists within us.
Through meditation, when our mind reaches a state of thoughtless awareness, we can clearly feel this energy. This experience not only leads to spiritual growth but also brings balance, morality, and positivity into our daily life.
Thus, from the perspective of Sahaj Yoga, the relationship between meditation and divine energy is very deep and direct. Through meditation, a person can awaken their inner Kundalini energy, unite with divine consciousness, and make life more peaceful, balanced, and joyful.
Austerity (Tapasya) is also Mental,
Verbal, and Physical
Controlling the mind from indulging in the pleasures of the senses is mental austerity. Speaking untruth or observing silence is verbal austerity. Fasting or giving physical discomfort to the body for fulfilling desires, such as in Hatha Yoga practices, are forms of physical austerity.
Austerity is the foundation of spiritual life. Saint Tulsidas glorified it by saying, “Tap is the basis of all creation.” A disciplined person determines the direction of their life, while ordinary people remain dependent on circumstances.
Through the energy of austerity, even unfavorable situations can be turned favorable. In fact, austerity is a scientific process with certain limits. Acting irrationally is not considered true austerity.
Avoiding salt, walking barefoot, or staying hungry may cause physical discomfort, but they do not necessarily bring spiritual benefits. Austerity should be practiced with a clear and determined purpose, following a proper path.
Austerity awakens our dormant impressions (sanskaras) and accelerates our spiritual growth. Its purpose is not only to gain energy but also to preserve and properly utilize it.
One who conserves energy becomes powerful. Austerity is not a miracle, but a means of self-refinement. Sahaj Yoga is one such refinement, where miracles happen naturally through tapasya—and this tapasya is meditation.
Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi explained a simple method of meditation in Sahaj Yoga. By following its principles and meditating twice daily, one attains purity.
With regular meditation, the subtle channels (nadis) are purified, and we begin to feel the flow of divine energy (cool breeze in the palms).
This divine energy brings remarkable changes in our lives. We become healthier and can help others as well. Meditation awakens our inner qualities through the activation of chakras.
One can become a Sahaj Yogi while living a family life and fulfilling all responsibilities.
Ego is the biggest obstacle on the path of austerity. Therefore, to attain the Divine, ego must be surrendered. Even demons performed intense austerities and received boons, but due to ego, they misused that energy.
Sahaj Yoga provides positive energy.
Even if someone practices it with a negative mindset, their thinking gradually changes. This transformation guides us in the right direction in life.

The Opening of SHASRARA

I have come many times and taken birth many times. Many of you know it but Sahasrara was not opened. Nothing happened except crying weeping and wasting away all such lives. You could not achieve anything. The opening of Sahasrara only happened in this birth.
That too, I was working away in the nights’ end on, I used to enter inside kundalinis of everyone to find out what the problem is in this motor and that motor. And that too by being with my family, the last stage of Sahaja yoga, which we say the opening of Sahasrara, has happened. That’s why we celebrate 5th May as the Sahastrar day. That day when the Sahasrara opened up, your Sahasrara also opened up.
This means that day the super consciousness came into this world. That’s why you all feel the vibrations. You may ask why not many years ago? Only one in many used to get this and could achieve much. Supra consciousness was needed. God’s kingdom had to come. The sensitivity of that had to be spread in the world. Otherwise, the belief in God would have broken off. Else the world would have drowned away. And Satya yuga wouldn’t have started.
Satya yuga has started. And Satya yuga means that just any other worthless thing will not work. Satya yuga started from the day cancer started in this world. No hanky panky can go on now. You have to stand in dharma. If you do not stand in dharma, you will go towards excessiveness.
Earlier you may have heard a lot of people who used to have one peg a day. Now it does not happen like that. Now a ten year or a fifteen-year-old boy who starts on alcohol turns alcoholic within two years. Everything has become speedy and because of speediness, it won’t work now. Man has to become dharmic now and rise in his dharma. One who does not rise will be defeated. He will have to see losses, mentally, physically, emotionally. All types of losses. And he will see in front of his eyes that he is getting all these painful things. He will understand this. This is a special time.
You can say the time of transition to get down to Satya Yuga. Before fully getting down in Satya yuga, before establishing that your sensitivity should improve. This physical body of yours has the central nervous system and you should get the light of divine on your central nervous system. Till now it is only in the parasympathetic and you have god in your hearts. But this light should come onto your central nervous system and flow in the form of vibrations like it is described. When you understand this completely and study this only then Satya yuga will be established inside you fully. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

SAMADHI AND CHAKRAS

This is the trouble with you. You read some nonsensical books - Samadhi, Bindu, this, that, all that. Now please forget it, please forget all these things. Sama-dhi, Samadhi means, first is the Nirvichara Samadhi. First is Nirvichara Samadhi that you achieve and the Kundalini just comes out of your head. Sama-dhi means, the dhi means the buddhi. And when it has got enlightenment it means Samadhi. So first of all, the buddhi gets enlightened - I just now I told you about that only, the first enlightenment. Now, the Bindu and this and that are higher stages. Ardha Bindu, then Bindu and then Valaya. But you should not be futuristic, just now if you have read some book no use trying to show off that. That's not a good thing. Just try to see what you are. Why do you want to talk about things which - which do not concern at this stage? Just now, supposing you are going by bullock cart, why do you want to ask about the airplane? Just now you go by bullock cart, then you get into the train, then you get into the airplane. All right? One by one, not like this. Because you have read the book, it doesn't mean that you are supposed to know everything. All these books are written by some sort of crankish fellows who have read something here and there and have put it down. But you must experience. I'm your Mother, so I don't want to give you big ideas, this and that. I want you to do the way we have to move. As a mother would say, "Now, this is the way you are. Now you are in the first class, so pass your first exam. Then you'll go into the second class, then pass your exam". Everybody has to go that way to mature properly; there should be no immaturity in a personality. So all these books that you have read you better throw them away, there's no good. But if it is by some realized souls you can keep them and think that they are higher people and we have to be at their stage. Only by reading the book you don't become those personalities, do you?...
(Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi 1983-02-04)
God has created fourteen levels within us. If you simply count them, then you know that there are seven chakras within us. Beside these, there are two more chakras, about which you do not talk much. They are the Chakra of Moon (Lalita) and Chakra of Sun (Shri). Then there is Hamsa Chakra. Thus, there are three more. Seven plus three makes ten. Then there are four chakras above Sahasrara. And about these chakras also I have told you: Ardha-bindu, Bindu, Valaya, and Pradakshina. These are the four. After coming to Sahaja Yoga and after your Sahasrara has opened, you have to pass through these four chakras, Ardha-bindu, Bindu, Valay, and Pradakshina. After passing through these four chakras only you can say that you have become a Sahaja yogi. And if you see from another angle, we have to cross fourteen stages in reaching up to Sahasrara. If you divide them then there are seven chakras situated on the Ida Nadi and seven on the Pingala Nadi. ... This 'fourteen' is very important in Kundalini Shashtra (science). Very important. It's a very important thing. We should fully understand that we become entitled to the blessings of Sahaja Yoga only after rising above these fourteen stages.
(14th Sahasrara Day 1983)
[Yogi: Shri Mother, could You say something about the Bindu and the higher chakras above that?] Shri Mataji: You see, I don't think you should worry too much about these. There's three stages higher than Sahasrara. I would suggest just now let us concentrate on Sahasrara, is a better idea. But Bindu, Ardha-Bindu and Valaya are the three stages in which one has to pass through later on, and you would pass gradually when you develop yourself horizontally. That's what we have started now, so let us keep to this idea that we have to develop ourself horizontally. We should see how we affect the other person, how we influence the another person. (1987-0506)
Within us, as you know, there are seven chakras for your ascent and two above it. So all these nine chakras are to be crossed in this life time. That should be your destiny.
(9th Day of Navaratri 1988)
In Sanskrit language, a bangle is called as valaya and that is the last stage which one has to reach in one’s ascent. That means the complete. (1986-0921)

MAYA : Worldly Illusion or Attachment

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the founder of Sahaja Yoga, had a very clear and spiritual perspective on “Maya” (worldly illusion or attachment).
The main points of her views are as follows:
Meaning of Maya (Illusion): According to Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Maya is the worldly attachment, illusion, and materialistic attraction that keeps a human being away from their true Self and divine power.
It acts like a veil.
Freedom from Maya (Self-Realization): She believed that only through Kundalini awakening (Self-realization) can a person be freed from the bondage of Maya.
Balance and Witness State: Mataji taught that one should rise above Maya while living a household life and fulfilling worldly responsibilities. She emphasized being detached while living within Maya, maintaining a witness state rather than
renouncing everything.
Love and Compassion: According to her, true love is the antidote to Maya.
Through Divine Love, a person can rise above material desires and attachments.
Lack of Inner Knowledge: Maya dominates as long as a person is not connected to their Self and the Divine. Through Sahaja Yoga, when a person attains Self-knowledge, the illusion of Maya naturally dissolves.
In summary, Shri Mataji did not
consider Maya as purely negative, but rather as a lower state of awareness that can be transcended through Self-realization and Sahaja Yoga.
Shri Mataji described Sahaja Yoga as a pure, universal path that integrates all religions. She also stated that she was a divine incarnation, more
precisely the Holy Spirit.
🙏 A loving invitation through a self-composed poem to attend the meditation center:
“Do come to the center sometimes,
Meet your Sahaja brothers and sisters, even if by chance.
You do come for puja…
Do come to the center as well.
To cleanse these pathways, make some effort.
You do come for puja…
Do come to the center as well.”
Human body is the temple of God. But this temple must be enlightened and pure. You have to cleanse and purify your entire being so that it becomes a beautiful temple where God can reside.
💥💫🙏 Param Pujya Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi

Sahajayoga by women - Grihalakshmi

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi ji has given very beautiful and practical guidance for those women who, due to household responsibilities or social reasons, are unable to step बाहर of their homes.
Based on Sahaja Yoga discourses, here are Mother’s main suggestions:

### 1. Recognize the Power of the Grihalakshmi
Shri Mataji used to say that a woman is the **“Grihalakshmi”** (the auspicious energy of the home). If you are balanced and joyful within the home, your state influences the entire family. Mother said that when you awaken your inner power (Kundalini) through meditation, such attraction and peace develop in your personality that family members gradually begin to respect what you say.

### 2. Creating a Path with Love and Patience
Mother always taught that there is no need to struggle or argue to step outside.
* **Tolerance:** Mother said that even the hardest heart can be won with love and affection.
* **Balance:** Fulfill your household duties so skillfully that no one has any complaints. When family members see that Sahaja Yoga has made you calmer, happier, and more efficient, they will themselves encourage you to go out.

### 3. Making the Home Itself a Center
Shri Mataji showed a wonderful path for women who cannot go outside:
* **Programs at Home:** Mother said, “If you cannot go out, bring Sahaja Yoga into your home.” You can invite neighboring women or your friends over for tea or satsang and give them Self-Realization.
* In this way, your home itself becomes a “meditation center,” and you won’t feel the need to go outside.

### 4. Connection through Collective Consciousness
In today’s time, this teaching of Mother has become even easier through technology. Mother always emphasized **collectivity**. Even if you cannot go out physically, stay connected with other Sahaja Yoginis through phone or internet. Giving vibrations to each other and joining collective meditation gives you, even while at home, the same strength that you would get by going outside.

### 5. Pure Desire and Prayer
* Pray to Mother: *“Mother, please create such circumstances for me that I may enjoy collectivity.”*
* Regularly take **bandhan** and use vibrations to remove your obstacles.

**Conclusion:**
Shri Mataji’s main message was that, while remaining within your **values** and **traditions**, and without any conflict, you should gradually transform the hearts of your family. When your devotion deepens, the doors to step outside will open on their own.

Nature and Power of a Woman

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has explained very deeply about the nature of a woman, her power, and her role in society. According to Sahaja Yoga, a woman is not just an individual, but the very embodiment of **"Shakti"** (divine power).

The key points that Shri Mataji described for a woman are as follows:

### 1. Dignity and Grace
Shri Mataji said that a woman should recognize her own dignity. She should not live like an "object of enjoyment," but like a "goddess."
 * **Gracefulness:** There should be modesty in a woman's behavior and attire, so that it evokes respect in others, not lust.
 * **Self-respect:** She should recognize her strengths and never consider herself weak.

### 2. The "Power" of the Home
 * **Love and Forgiveness:** A woman must possess qualities of love, compassion, and forgiveness. With her love, she can turn the entire home into heaven.
 * **Patience:** She should be patient. Just as the earth endures everything and provides nourishment, a woman should nurture her family.

### 3. The Form of "Lakshmi"
In Sahaja Yoga, a woman is considered the 'Griha-Lakshmi' (the goddess of the household).
 * **Auspiciousness:** A woman should be auspicious, meaning her presence should bring positivity and prosperity into the home.
 * **Contentment:** If the woman of the house is content and happy, poverty never enters that home.

### 4. Maternal Love and Protection
Shri Mataji explained that the quality of 'motherly love' within a woman is the most powerful.
 * She should not only protect her children but also society.

### 5. Spirituality
Shri Mataji believed that women are more emotional and sensitive than men, which allows them to understand spirituality more deeply and quickly.
 * **Kundalini awakening:** A woman should awaken her inner power through meditation so that she can remain calm and balanced.
 * **Balance:** She should maintain a balance between modernity and tradition.

### How to adopt this state?
If you want to shape yourself according to Shri Mataji’s teachings, consider these suggestions:
 * **Daily meditation:** Meditate for 10–15 minutes in the morning and evening. This will bring a divine glow to your face and peace to your nature.
 * **Focus on the heart chakra:** Keep your heart pure. Do not hold jealousy or hatred towards anyone.
 * **Pure desire:** Always keep the intention: "Mother, make me an ideal and powerful woman who can give love and light to others."

> **A famous quote by Shri Mataji:**
> "A man improves one individual, but a woman improves the entire family and society."

God cannot be realised through Bookish Knowledge or Intellectual Cleverness

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi expressed very clear and candid views about intellectuals and scholars in her discourses. Her main perspective was that God cannot be realized through mere bookish knowledge or intellectual cleverness.

Here is the main essence of her views:

### 1. Intellectual Dryness
Shri Mataji believed that people who merely memorize scriptures or engage excessively in intellectual debates often become **disconnected from the heart**. She said that:
 * Scholarship often creates **ego**, which is the biggest obstacle on the path of Self-Realization.
 * Being entangled only in a web of words does not lead to the experience of vibrations (Chaitanya).

### 2. “Reading and reading, the world has died”
 * A true scholar is one who **“knows”** (realizes the essence), not one who merely **“remembers.”**
 * Scholars and intellectuals have often made religion a complex subject, whereas realization of God is an extremely simple and spontaneous (Sahaj) process.

### 3. Book Knowledge vs Experience
Shri Mataji said that intellectuals can beautifully describe a “flower,” but they cannot make one experience its “fragrance” and “aliveness.”
 * **Burden of scriptures:** She explained that just as a donkey carrying sandalwood only feels the weight and not the fragrance, similarly scholars without Self-Realization carry only the burden of knowledge.

### 4. Hypocrisy of Scholars
At times, she criticized those scholars who turn religion into a means of livelihood (business). According to her:
 * True religion is inner purification, not merely external rituals or recitation of Sanskrit verses.

### Main Message
Shri Mataji said that **“Truth is beyond logic.”** Until the Kundalini is awakened and one connects with the divine power, all scholarship is meaningless.

> “Intellectuals keep flying in the sky of their minds, but they do not know the roots of truth that lie on the ground.” —

**Shri Mataji**

PURE AND IMPURE DESIRES

In Sahaja Yoga, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi has explained in great detail about **“impure errors”** or human mistakes. According to her, the greatest error of a human being is not recognizing their true identity (the Self).

Here are the main points from Shri Mataji’s teachings:

### 1. Impure Desire and Pure Desire
Shri Mataji says that most of our desires are “impure” because they never end. When one desire is fulfilled, another arises.
- **Error:** Running after material pleasures and identifying oneself as the body or mind is the main mistake.
- **Solution:** There is only one “pure desire”—**union with the Divine (Self-realization)**. When the Kundalini Mother awakens, she burns away all our impurities.

### 2. Feeling of Being ‘Guilty’ (Guilt)
Often people feel guilty because of their mistakes (truti). Shri Mataji described this as a major cause of imbalance in the **Left Vishuddhi Chakra**.
- **Advice:** She says, “To say ‘I am guilty’ is a kind of ego.” God is an ocean of love; He can forgive your mistakes.
- **Remedy:** Instead of feeling sad about your mistakes, surrender them to the Divine and say—**“Mother, I am the pure Spirit, I am innocent.”**

### 3. The Power of Forgiveness (Agnya Chakra)
The only way to come out of the web of our mistakes and others’ errors is **forgiveness**.
- When we do not forgive someone, we become bound to that person or that mistake.
- According to Shri Mataji, forgiveness is a power that opens our Agnya Chakra and gives us peace.

### 4. Purification of Attention (Chitta)
Shri Mataji explained that when our attention wanders in the outside world, we make mistakes.
- **Solution:** Through meditation, when attention becomes steady at the Sahasrara (top of the head), our intellect becomes pure (sattvic), and we stop making mistakes.

### Main Prayer:
In Sahaja Yoga, this prayer is recited to remove these errors:
> **“Shri Mataji, please forgive me. Please free me from my impure desires and mistakes, and grant me pure knowledge.”**

**Conclusion:** Shri Mataji’s message is simple: do not dwell on your mistakes, but purify yourself through meditation and awareness. When you are in the light (Self-realization), darkness (error) disappears on its own.

Live A Life OF TRUTH

Jay Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi Sahajyog
Sahastrara Puja (Live a Life of Truth), Cabella, Italy, 9 May 2004

Today is a very important day in our lives as Sahaja Yogis. Today is the day when the Sahastrara was opened, which was a very miraculous event. I never expected that in my lifetime I would be able to do this. But it happened. And many of you had your Sahastrara opened. Without that, you could never have known what the truth is. And you are enjoying it—the state where you know what the truth is.

It is a great blessing that the Sahastrara was opened and that you all received your Self-realization. Otherwise, everything is just talk—without meaning, without understanding. So my first concern was to open the Sahastrara. That happened, and it happened well. And all of you had your Sahastrara opened. This is a remarkable thing. No one can believe that so many of you have your Sahastrara opened. But now I can clearly see the light above your heads.

Whatever you have attained is remarkable—there is no doubt about it. The reason is your sincere seeking. You sought sincerely, and that is why you received it. I did nothing. Because you were like lamps, I only lit them, that’s all. This is not such a great thing to do. The way you have achieved this state—the state of awakening—you received it because you were eager for it, you wanted to actualize it, and you did. This is highly commendable. The credit does not go to me; I feel it is because my Sahastrara was open. But that you have attained it gives me great joy.

Now you will understand that if the Sahastrara is not open, you cannot communicate with people. You cannot tell them anything—they will not understand. When the Sahastrara opens, your understanding increases tremendously. This is what has happened to all of you. And I am very happy that so many people are sitting here whose Sahastrara is open, and there are many more who are not here. So it is a great achievement for humanity that so many people have had their Sahastrara opened together, through which you can know the Truth—the complete or ultimate Truth. Whatever you know after your Self-realization is the ultimate Truth. After that, you do not argue, you do not question. You simply know it and accept it as knowledge. It is such a wonderful thing that all this already existed, but it was not open. And when it opened, people understood me and also understood the laws of the Divine.

It is such a blessing of the Divine that your Sahastrara has been opened. For this, you may say, “We have taken nothing, Mother.” But that is not so. Your search for truth was deep and firm. You wanted to know the truth, and that is why it happened. Otherwise, no amount of money or effort would have worked. The Sahastrara had to open on its own. All this is your own creation, I should say. It is your own karma that such a beautiful event has taken place.

I do not take any credit for it. Certainly, I must say that I explained to you how important it is that your Sahastrara should open. No arguments, no suggestions, nothing—but has your Sahastrara opened? That is what tells you what the truth is. In such a beautiful state, what can your Mother say? I can only say: live a life of truth and wisdom. Truth resides within everyone, and how we use that truth is our achievement. People are lost because they do not have knowledge. Book knowledge is not real knowledge. Knowledge must come from within—from your own being. And this has happened because of the opening of the Sahastrara. It has happened in all countries, and it will happen all over the world. Many people will receive Self-realization. But one thing, I feel, is that you should not have an emotional attachment to it, but a real connection—knowing that this is so, this has happened, this is working. Then you will be able to give Self-realization to others. You will understand the importance of Self-realization.

Until you use it, you will not know what the power of Self-realization is. So you must learn how to use this power within you—this power that is working within you and will give you immense capabilities. My health has now become a little weak. After all, I am very old. But still, I do not feel any kind of tiredness while addressing you. I feel so good that there are so many Sahaja Yogis, so many whose Sahastrara is open and who are enjoying it.

Actually, I like it when you ask me questions. But you can send me your questions in writing, and then I will try to answer them sometime. That will be a good way.

Thank you very much! May God bless you. Progress in Sahaj, grow within yourselves. May God bless you. All my blessings.

Sahaja Yoga Life is SIMPLE

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi often emphasized that "Sahaja Yoga life is simple" because it is a natural, living process (Sahaja) that requires no extreme asceticism or complex rituals.
According to her teachings, the essence of a simple life in Sahaja Yoga includes:
Effortless Awakening: Spiritual growth starts with the spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini energy, which she described as a "living process" that happens effortlessly w
holiness and peace are found by living a balanced, normal life while staying connected to the Divine power
Thoughtless Awareness: A simple life is achieved by reaching a state of "thoughtless awareness" (Savvikalpa Samadhi), where the mind is silent and the individual is fully present in the joy of the Spirit
Spontaneity and Joy: Shri Mataji often noted that once the spirit is awakened, negative habits and unnecessary burdens naturally disappear, leading to a "new, blooming personality" characterized by strength and joy.
Avoidance of Extremes: She advised practitioners to avoid overdoing anything, suggesting that balance is the key to maintaining a simple and peaceful life.
For those interested in exploring her specific talks, the Vishwa Nirmala Dharma Educational Society and official collections like Shri Mataji Ki Amritvani archive many of her speeches on these themes

Lord Hanumana - Deity with unique qualities

Today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Shri Hanuman Ji. What can be said about Hanuman Ji—that he was as powerful as he was virtuous, and just as much filled with devotion and reverence. Most human beings, when they become very strong and gain power—what we might call becoming “right-sided”—begin to think so highly of themselves that they acknowledge no one else before them. But Hanuman Ji is a special deity, a deity endowed with unique qualities. As powerful and strong as he was, his devotion was equally balanced with his strength; as much strength as he had, he had just as much devotion within him. How he maintained and lived in this balance is something very important to understand.

When we cross over in Sahaja Yoga and acquire various kinds of powers, along with them comes balance. We love, and through the support of love—through the power of love—we remain engaged in our work and continue to perform it. In the same way, Shri Hanuman Ji was extremely powerful, and he possessed divine powers. He had the nine forms of powers—such as garima, laghima… he could become as large as he wished or as small as he wished; anima—he could become minute, extremely subtle. All these powers he attained through his devotion. This means that devotion and power are essentially the same thing.

If someone has power but no devotion, then that person becomes a demon. And if someone has devotion but no power, then that person becomes mad. The one who attains this in the middle path—whether you call it power or devotion—has every part of their being filled with it. Because of this unique quality, Bajrang Bali is worshipped extensively not only in our country but also abroad. I am amazed that even young children in foreign countries, whenever they draw any picture, often begin by drawing Hanuman Ji.

Shri Mataji has explained that Shri Hanuman represents both intelligence and strength. Some of his principal qualities are as follows: - Destruction of ego: Hanuman is a completely devoted devotee. He controls the ego within a person and transforms it into humility. - Power to act: Because he is the lord of the Pingala nadi, he gives us the energy to act and the wisdom to make correct decisions. - Pure intellect: He is a symbol of prajna (enlightened intellect). He provides discernment by keeping us free from futile thoughts. 3. How to please Hanuman (a simple yogic method) Shri Mataji has suggested some special ways to receive Hanuman’s grace and balance the right nadi: - Recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa: Shri Mataji specifically recommends reading the Hanuman Chalisa to reduce the heat of the Pingala nadi (right side) and to attain mental peace.

Message by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi for Good Friday and Easter

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, the founder of Sahaja Yoga, taught that Good Friday is not mearely a  day of mourning, but a profound moment for spiritual introspection, emphasizing the forgiveness of humanity by Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the spirit within us.
Key Messages by Shri Mataji regarding Good Friday/Easter:Message by
  • Forgiveness and Ego: Shri Mataji advised using Good Friday to forgive everyone, stating that forgiveness is the only way to get rid of the "horrible ego".
  • The Message of the Cross: She taught that Christ sacrificed his physical body to show that the Spirit is eternal and cannot be destroyed. The crucifixion was a lesson to destroy the "nonsensical things" within us, including materialism.
  • Resurrection Within: She explained that Easter represents the Resurrection, which is the ascension of the Kundalini energy, awakening the Spirit within.
  • Preparation to Receive Him: Shri Mataji noted that humanity must be prepared to receive Christ, which is achieved through Self-Realization (the awakening of the Kundalini).
  • Moving Beyond Fear: She taught that humanity should not weep or feel guilty but should rejoice in the eternal nature of the Spirit, as Christ’s sacrifice was to bring us to the kingdom of God.
Core Quote:
"You cannot crucify Him anymore. And the time has come for all of us to be prepared for us to receive Him." — Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Easter Puja, 1980
