Our Holy Mother Mataji Nirmaladevi has time and again told us as to how we should we behave, act, relate, react and so many things in much simple terms. Still sometimes we find that many sahajayogis find difficulty to follow the principles in practice. It is great need that we sahajayogis to pay attention to Mataji, always thinks of her and her teaching while doing any act, then the result will be quite different.
I came across an interesting reading of one of the messages of Mataji Nirmaladevi, which is reproduced below for the benefit of all.
Today I must say something important for you all! Many times I told you to penetrate the essence of every thing. I would tell you different stories, teach you how to move in the right direction. I have done all that could be done, for your ascent! You were given all the instruments to be used for recognizing that direction. One of them is your attention. It is so important today! Illusions and temptations have always been chasing your attention. Many of you have learnt not to waste it on outward things. Many of you have managed it. But what’s happened!? Your attention is in Sahaja Yoga, no doubt, but strange as it may seem it’s lost! It’s soiled.
You waste your attention on your own dirt. Quarrels and squabbles are becoming norm. Having cleaned up the exterior courtyard you have entered inside the house – there is a mess in there, and you don’t have enough powers to clean up your own house. Whereas, you had to do it the other way round and clean up inside yourself first, create peace within yourself first, be filled with the feeling of brotherhood, and then help each other. No doubt many, many have become good children of the Mother. Many of you are patient and in peace, but it’s broken now. Why? What’s happened? The answer is simple – not everyone has become matured, not everyone has been learning My Lessons, imbibing My Knowledge. The years have passed, and what can I see now?! Squabbles, running for power and desires upon desires. You are still asking for something, whereas you must give. I am the Mother; I’ll fulfill your wishes, but you often ask for what you shouldn’t ask. You don’t have to squander your gifts. Crucial Desires are also already trifles; understand that! I tell you candidly, that everything has changed. Your Mother is the same, but She is already different. Look at Me, look attentively! But instead you are asking Me to come to this place, to come to that place. Is it so difficult to understand, that it’s already not necessary?!
I am in your hearts, I am within you! Look inside yourself, hear, penetrate, jump into the Sahasrara and meet Me there! I am telling you about real things, stop guessing about things. Everything is very simple. The Mother has never let your down, never! Yes, I could make you feel confused, but that was for your sake. I can often hear your thanks for the lessons of illusion. You have become so strong. world through that! You can only help your Mother through that!
The Mother never asks you to sacrifice yourself, but the readiness has to arise inside yourself. You must consist of that readiness. I only ask you not to waste your attention, not to lose it. If your attention only touches Me from time to time, you’ll never become a firm structure, see! You won’t be ready. It’s so simple to understand, as simple as that.
While talking about a book you have read, you don’t talk about the quality of the paper; you talk about the essence of what you’ve read. When you are doing a work in My Name, you have to be My Essence. You are spreading the Divine Essence! If it is absent, and you are playing the hypocrite, be extremely careful! The Name of your Mother is too Great, its every letter is great, every interval between the letters is too Great! You must understand this. I hope you understand it! Don’t be a mediator between Me and people, don’t take it upon yourself! It will ruin you, it can’t be forgiven. You’ve got many examples of that, how quickly you forget everything.
Earth is filling with love, heaven is filling with love. Only love will remain in the world, only love has the right to be here! So, who are you? What are you carrying? Look at yourself one more time, look attentively and confess to yourself. Don’t worry about Me, don’t worry. Your Mother is strong. I can feel everyone now, each of you – what your attention is touching Me with, what you are bringing Me! I repeat I can feel everyone who is turning his attention to Me! You’ve got a big responsibility at the moment. This responsibility is that you are responsible for your Mother’s life. Can you see it, can you understand it?! For your Mother’s life! I have thrown Myself upon your mercy, I have allowed you to guard Me and accompany Me. This test is surpassingly serious! You have to know that My hopes haven’t run out, and I am sure of you and I am very proud of some of you. I enjoy your beauty and nobleness! Some of you have become beautiful diamonds, beautiful ones indeed. It’s so pleasant to look at you! But you are few, very few.
Nothing is done without the Will of God Almighty!
Be Blessed!

Sahajayoga meditation - Inward Journey
Sahajayoga Meditation - Is a unique process, very simple, easy to understand and implement. If one does it regularly on daily basis , his inner journey will bring about total transformation, worth experiencing and enjoying throught the life.
Meditation is a state of consciousness which is beyond the mind. We cannot do meditation, we have to be in meditation. It is a state of pure awareness, where we are alert and fully aware, but without any thought. It is normally difficult to have no thought in one's mind, but our Kundalini helps us a lot to achieve this state effortlessly, once it is awakened through Self Realization. Sahaja Yoga enables us to achieve precisely that.
In a lecture delivered in Sydney in March 1983, Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, founder of Sahaja Yoga, talks about man's seeking for this lost inner paradise of eternal happiness, and what is at the end of the journey.
The enjoyment of life is only possible if the world could get connected to the spirit… You become the Spirit as Christ has said in simple words that
you have to be born again
Divinity is not a fashion. It is the way of life. It is the need of your being.
You have to become that
"Now you all have realized by this time that within us lies the peace, the beauty, the glory of our being. There's an ocean of all that. We can not seek it outside. We have to go within - what they call "in the meditative state" [where] you seek it, you enjoy it. Like when you are thirsty, you go to a river, or you go to an ocean, and try to quench your thirst. But even the ocean cannot give you sweet water. So, how can anything that is spread outside give you that deep thing that is within you. You are trying to find it outside, where it does not lie. It is within us, absolutely within us. It is so simple because it is your own. It is within your reach. Just there. Whatever you have been doing - going out to find the joy, the so-called joy, so-called happiness, so-called glory of worldly powers and worldly possessions - you have to reverse it back, the whole thing. You have to project 'within yourself.' It was not wrong that you went out. You should not feel sorry for what you have done so far […]
It has worked in so many people, that you have entered into that subtler understanding. Some people are only at a mental level, maybe, doesn't matter. Maybe some are only at a physical level that they can feel it. Doesn't matter. But you are on the correct lines. You are moving correctly.
Try to meditate. Meditate more, so that you reach that inner being. And this inner being is the vast ocean of bliss which exists in every one of us. [It is] the vast flood of light, that floods everybody's inner beauty. So to approach it, you have to go "within" yourself - by denying things which are against it, against your movement.
Sometimes the wind can be very very strong for you to not understand that the glory of God is within - but turn back. Every movement remember, that your movement has to be inward. When you move inward, you forget the ideas of your outer glories […]
It is an individual journey towards God.
When you meditate and when you reach there, then you become collective. Before that it's an "absolute individual journey within". It's absolutely individual journey!
You should be able to see this; that in this journey nobody is your relation. Nobody is your friend. You are absolutely alone. 'Absolutely alone'. You have to move alone within yourself. Don't hate anyone. Don't be irresponsible, but in meditative mood you are alone. No one exists there. You alone. And once you enter into that ocean then the whole world becomes your whole family. The whole world is your own manifestation. All the children becomes your children. And you treat all people with equal understanding
The whole expansion takes place when you enter inside 'your' spirit and start seeing through eyes of the spirit. There's such calm, such peace, such bliss within you. You have to be ready for that journey. That journey is alone in your meditativeness. And the more you find something in your meditation, the more you want to go and distribute it to others. That has to be. If that does not come into you then it has not worked out; there is no purity; there is some sort of a bias. In that individual pursuit, whatever you find, you want to enjoy it with others, you want to give it to others. This is the sign of the person who has been really meditative. The one who has been meditative and has not been able to distribute what he has found is cheating himself and cheating others as well. Because that joy that you receive in your meditation has to be distributed. Has to be given. Has to be shown. It should flow in your being as the light radiates from every illumined lamp. You don't have to take a vow to say that this is an enlightened light. In the same way a saint should not have to be certified that he is a saint. The depth you achieve within yourself spreads all over. It is such an action and reaction. The deeper you become, the radiation is much more. [A] simple, very ordinary person, uneducated person, can be like that. We have you know, one gentleman called as Varick in Bombay. He is an old man, and is so deep. He radiates love. He's so meditative. You don't have to spend too much time on meditation. But whatever time you spend, whatever you gain, has to be visible outside - how you radiate and how you give it to others. […] Everyone of you has to decide for oneself."

What is Sahajayoga and its main idea
Following is the extract of the interview given by Mataji Nirmaladevi describing in brief the Sahajayoga and its main idea and related things.
Question: Shri Mataji, what is Sahaja Yoga? I mean, what is the main idea of it?
TV Interview ORF (Vienna, Austria ’88)
Interviewer: Shri Mataji, what is Sahaja Yoga? I mean, what is the main idea of it?
Shri Mataji: Sahaja, Saha means with, Ja means born. Born with you. That is spontaneous. Yoga means Union with the Divine. Now, many people in the modern times won’t believe there’s anything like Divine. But supposing I say, “There is,” with an open mind of a scientist you must accept it as a hypothesis to begin with. Now, we have the Divine power, very subtle power everywhere, but we can’t feel it. With our human awareness we cannot feel it. With human awareness we also don’t know the absolute truth, we live in a relative world. So there has to be a breakthrough. And the breakthrough has to take place in our evolutionary process. And Sahaja Yoga is the method which gives you that breakthrough.
Interviewer: How does it do this?
Shri Mataji: Now, within us is placed – is a energy which we call as Kundalini in Sanskrit language, which is a residual energy in the triangular bone called as Sacrum also means sacred bone, so maybe the Greeks knew about it. It rises like a primule in a seed, passes through six centers and pierces through the last one here and gives you what we call as the Self Realization or real baptism – real.
That’s what it is. And then, on your central nervous system – on your central nervous system you can feel the existence of this All pervading Power. You can feel all around you there’s Cool Breeze. And you can feel on your fingertips your own centers which are subtle and the centers of another person, which Jung has described that one has to be collectively conscious. It’s a happening that has to take (place) within ourselves. It is not mental, it’s not physical, it’s not emotional – it’s beyond that.
Interviewer: Technically how does it happen?
Shri Mataji: Technically, medically, we can say that human beings in emergency can use their sympathetic nervous system. But the parasympathetic system is the one which brings them back to normal. Like supposing you want to run – there’s an emergency, then your sympathetic goes into action, you run fast, your heart becomes very fast, and it comes to its normal state by the activity of the parasympathetic, which is in the center. When the Kundalini rises She nourishes this parasympathetic nervous system and you become in charge of that. You can handle your parasympathetic nervous system.
Interviewer: How do you induce or raise the Kundalini in other persons?
Shri Mataji: Kundalini. There is no technique about it, because it is a living process, it is spontaneous. It’s something like seed has to be put in the Mother Earth so it sprouts. It’s that simple. Even if you put your hands towards Me like this you can get your Realization.
Interviewer: This is a wonderful example, to place a seed into the soil, and seeing it – yes.
Shri Mataji: Yes, it’s spontaneous. It’s a living process.
It is a very simple, easy, well proven system of self improvement created and propagated by Mataji Nirmaladevi. Everyone shoiuld try to get benefit of it and spread it in the interest of the world as a whole.

Health Benefits of Sahajayoga
It is a very common and unique experience of Sahajayogis all over the world that with practicising sahajayoga on daily basis, results in physical fitness, reduction in stress level, balancing of mind and body, controlling blood pressure , diabetes and asthama also.
The only requirement is that one must have faith in Mataji Nirmaladevi and surrender to her with a request to bestow her divine power for healing various ailments you are suffering from.
Following are some of the observations on physical benefits of sahajayoga in various countries of the world.
Health benefits
Sahaja Yoga is considered across the world as a holistic approach to health care. There are countless cases where people practice Sahaja Yoga have overcome illnesses including Asthma, Cancer and aids.
As you practice Sahaja Yoga mediation, every cell of the body is nourished and rejuvenated, resulting in natural improvement in ones health.
One of many examples of how Sahaja Yoga has improved individuals health comes from Madrid. Doctors had given up on Emilia Moreno's condition of Polyarteritis Nodosa. She had lived in a state of semi-paralysis for 20 years - she could barely walk or use her hands. After attending the Sahaja Yoga health centre in Navi Mumbai for a couple of months, she wrote in her farewell note stating : "I was not able to balance and my eyesight was poor. Today I can walk and write and paint ... ."
Several studies are being currently undertaken in Australia, Russia, India and the UK to show the therapeutic effect of SY on several physiological and mental diseases and disorders. The studies so far published have shown that :
Epilepsy: Several months of Sahaja yoga meditation reduces the number and the duration of epileptic attacks in patients with epilepsy. It has also been shown to improve the clinical electro-encephalographic pattern of epileptic brain activation (Rai, 1993, Panjwani et al., 1995, Usha, 1991, Gupta et al., 1991 (link to Gupta), Yardi et al., 2001)
Asthma: Patients with asthma and with hypertension have been shown to significantly improve with SY meditation. The improvement relate to a significant reduction in the number of acute asthma attacks and an improvement in\ their lung function (Manocha et al., 2000, Rai, 1993, Chugh, 1997).
Depression: A study in the UK has shown that several months of SY meditation significantly reduced the depressive symptoms in patients with major depression, as opposed to control patients treated only with behavioral therapy (link to paper: Morgan et al., 2001).
Drug abuse: Sahaja Yoga meditation has been shown to have impressive effects on reducing drug consumption in 501 drug abusers treated for a year with Sahaja Yoga meditation at the University of Vienna. 97% of chronic drug consumers stopped taking drugs, 42% after the first week of meditation, 32% after the first months. (Hackl, 1995).
Diabetes and Menopause: As yet unpublished studies from Melbourne University in Australia have shown beneficial effects of Sahaja Yoga meditation on diabetes and menopause. Details will be available in the future

awareness while talking
All our life we talk and talk and go on talking various things to so many people. Here is a test given by Socrates- triple test, which will help us to understand what we should talk. If our talk cannot pass through this triple test, it is better to keep quiet.
Socrates’ Test
From the Divinesahajayoga Blog
In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to hold knowledge in highesteem. One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher andsaid,
“Socrates, do you know what I just heard about your best friend?”
“Hold on a minute,” Socrates replied. “Before telling me anythingI’d like you to pass a little test. It’s called the Triple FilterTest.”
“Triple filter?”
“That’s right,” Socrates continued. “Before you talk to me aboutmy friend, it might be a good idea to take a moment and filterwhat you’re going to say. The first filter is Truth. Have youmade absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?”
“No,” the man said, “actually I just heard about it and…”
“All right,” said Socrates. “So you don’t really know if it’strue or not. Now let’s try the second filter, the filter ofGoodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my friendsomething good?”
“No, on the contrary…”
“So,” Socrates continued, “you want to tell me something badabout him, but you’re not certain it’s true. You may still passthe test though, because there’s one filter left: the filter ofUsefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my friend going tobe useful to me?”
“No, not really.”
“Well,” concluded Socrates, “if what you want to tell me isneither true nor good nor even useful, why tell it to me at all?”
This is why Socrates was a great philosopher and held in suchhigh esteem.
Mataji Nirmaladevi also had time and again taught the sahajayogis to refrain from such kind of useless, harmful and derogatory kind of talk, which not only spoils us but also wastes our time and energy. Better we should think positive and observe self restrain in our own interest. Sahajayoga teaches to be balanced person who is guided by the holy mother Kundalini, which never allows to detract from the path of righteous thinking.

The seventh center (Sahasrara) is the chakra which integrates all the chakras with their respective qualities. It is the last milestone of the evolution of human awareness. Nowadays, we are at a level which corresponds to this chakra, and our consciousness is able to easily enter into this new realm of perception, which is beyond our limited mind and concepts, and which becomes absolute at the level of the Sahasrara. It is the direct, absolute perception of Reality on our central nervous system. This is precisely what is achieved through the Self-Realization, through the spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini given by Sahaja Yoga.”

Also called the "Crown Chakra or Mystic Chakra" the seventh Chakra, which is located at the top of the head, is light years beyond the lower Chakras. The true nature of the seventh Chakra is beyond human comprehension. The advice of all teachers on the kundalini path, is not to ever try to push oneself into seventh Chakra consciousness. This experience will come, when one's nervous system is fully prepared for such infinite realization and union with the creative force of the universe. However, in regular kundalini meditation, it is important to focus one's attention for at least short periods directly to this center so that one's energetic system can balance itself and you can open, to the inflow of energy from above. There should be no inhibition regarding direct focusing on the seventh Chakra. As long as one don't use special techniques for over stimulating this Chakra, a regular and quite natural inflow of white-light energy and insight can be received.
The sahasrara Chakra controls the pineal gland in the brain. Medicine claims that this mysterious gland is defunct. But Yogis for thousands of years have come to know intimately from the inside out that the pineal gland is awakened through kundalini energy and begins secreting only when we become spiritually awakened. In fact, bio-chemically, it is possible to talk about enlightenment as a state where the pineal gland is regularly secreting special hormones into the body's lower glandular system. In more spiritual terms, to regularly include the seventh Chakra in our kundalini balancing meditations is to welcome the universal Holy Spirit to flow downward into our physical and energetic bodies, and to flood our lives with the ultimate healing and inspirational power of the universe.”

GENERAL ADVICE FROM SHRI MATAJI
There are hardly any self-healing remedies available for clearing the Sahasrara Chakra. Meditation and establishing the thoughtless state to attain the Turiya state and beyond has been constantly emphasized by Shri Mataji. The most effective is to put attention on the affected chakra during meditation and allow the Mother Kundalini to heal. Remain in the thoughtless state while you work on the affected chakra.
Always remember this quote of Shri Mataji:"Kundalini will rise and She will cleanse you completely. Kundalini will rise and always cleanse the chakras."
Shri Mataji Nirmala DeviSydney, Australia, March 31, 1991
Once this is power is established no external rituals are required as catches will be healed instantly and constantly by the Mother Kundalini within. Until and unless external cleansing rituals are discarded this power will never be established.

6th chakra in our body- Agnya Chakra
Agnya Chakra
Agnya Chakra is situated in the centre of the brain area, and represents the sixth stage of human evolution. We can identify its position as the middle point of the forehead. The Agnya Chakra is the gateway to the Sahasrara Chakra, the Kingdom of God.When the Kundalini passes through this Chakra, our thought waves elongate so that the space between the two thoughts grows wider. This space is Silence and as the petals of the Chakra open up, Silence blossoms in this centre and spreads outwards, pushing our thoughts to the periphery of our awareness. This is where the state of thoughtless awareness or Nirvikalpa Samadhi happens through the Grace of Shri Jesus. In this state we actually feel the beautiful Silence, the Stillness, which is at the heart of creation.
Quality- The primary quality of the Agnya Chakra is forgiveness. Inflated egos, arrogance, aggressiveness, condemnation, contempt, and worry cause this Chakra to be blocked and gives tension to the whole body.At this point in our evolution humans have developed a sophisticated society, and with it came the problem of ego — the idea that he is doing it all. This idea of "I"-ness was accelerated by the continuing success of his material gains throughout history. The natural result of this brought about an inflated ego, and with further arrogance came the superego. So ego and superego isolated the human from Spirit. The ego and superego are located at the uppermost endpoints of the channels of Ida Nadi (the Moon Line or Left Channel) and Pingala Nadi (the Sun Line or Right Channel). These two channels cross over at the Agnya Chakra. Everything related to the past (such as memories, conditionings and emotions) accumulates as a residue in the Superego on the right side of the brain, having crossed over from the Left Channel. Everything relating to the future (such as thinking, planning and action) likewise accumulates as a residue, but in the ego on the left side of the brain. Therefore, before Self-Realization we are always in various stages of imbalance. The Ego and Superego border the outlying regions of the subtle universe. The Superego is in the individual Subconscious realm where all of our past knowledge and experience are stored. Beyond this is the Collective Subconscious, which is the area where spiritualists and mediums ply their trade of the past. The Ego is in the individual Superconscious, the realm of the future. It is in the Collective Supraconscious that clairvoyants, visionaries and seekers of power conduct their business of the future. Exploration of any of these realms is extremely dangerous.
TRADITIONEn route to the Sahasrara Chakra, the Sushumna channel passes through the centre Agnya Chakra. This is the place of Lord Jesus and Mary. Jesus said that He is the Path, and it is His Path that leads us to the Kingdom of Heaven in the Sahasrara. The coming of Christ was a major breakthrough in the human spiritual ascent. Through His power of forgiveness He brought redemption to humankind. He dissolved all the guilt, sublimated the Ego, taught forgiveness and proclaimed the immortality of the Spirit through His Resurrection. He was born again into the Spirit, and we also are born again into our spirit when our Mother Kundalini gives us our second birth.
GROSS PHYSICAL ASPECTAmongst other things, the Agnya Chakra governs our sight. We should therefore respect the eyes as a gift with which the beauty of the Divine creation is revealed to us. We should not abuse it by having adulterous eyes.
Left AgnyaCauses of catch or obstruction on left ring fingerA "catch" is an imbalance. If we feel heat or tingling, or maybe even numbness in our fingertips, it means that our kundalini is alerting us to an imbalance in a particular chakra.'Your left ring finger will speak' if there is harm to self, self-pity, inability to forgive oneself, living in the pastCLEARING BLOCKAGE OF LEFT AGNYA CHAKRAOne of the most effective is the mantra of Shri Mahavira:OM TWAMEVA SHAKSHAT SHRI MAHAVIRA SHAKSHATSHRI ADI SHAKTI MATAJI SHRI NIRMALA DEVI NAMOH NAMAH
Right AgnyaCauses of catch or obstruction on right ring finger'Your right ring finger will speak' if there wrong ideas about God, harm to others, worries, aggression, egotism, futurism
CLEARING BLOCKAGE OF RIGHT AGNYA CHAKRAOne of the most effective is the mantra of Shri Buddha:OM TWAMEVA SHAKSHAT SHRI Buddha SHAKSHATSHRI ADI SHAKTI MATAJI SHRI NIRMALA DEVI NAMOH NAMAHMeditate twice a day, at dawn and dusk, and allow the Mother Kundalini to heal you from within. Please always remember that you are healing your mind, body and soul to attain the eternal spirit/moksa as promised by all the holy scriptures and messengers of God Almighty/Brahman. Daily meditation is by far the most important means for nourishing your physical and spiritual well-being. No external treatments are required once you have established regular daily meditation.

“The Agnya ChakraThe sixth chakra is the chakra of forgiveness and compassion. Forgiveness is the power to let go of anger, hatred and resentment and to discover, in humility, the nobility and generosity of the Spirit. It is the one that dissolves all our ego, conditionings, habits, false ideas of racialism, and all our misidentifications. It is the narrow gate which opens the way for our consciousness to ascend to its final destination, which is the seventh center.Roving eyes, watching impure things, or self-centeredness damage this chakra. Watching the sky, earth or nature can help cleanse it.”www.sahajayoga.org
