If you are not surrendered, if you are not in the kingdom of God, then this is not the responsibility of the Mother. Then it might be that some negative force might take over and destroy you"

THE KAVACH OF THE DEVI

Guru Brahma, guru Vishnu, Guru Devo MaheshwarahGuru Sakshat Parabrahma, Shri Mataji Nirmala Ma.Tasmai Shri Guruveh Namaha.

Our Guru is the Great Mother. All Her Shakti and Yogini aspects are available for Her children. By reading The Kavach of The Devi, we mobilise these powers to purify and enlighten our Koshas (our mental, emotional and physical bodies). Thus by the Power of the Gurumata The Atma becomes The Guru of the body. While reading the Kavach of The Devi one should put one's attention on the aspect or the part of the body which is protected. One may also, while reading, pause between the Names and silently take the corresponding mantra, for example:

Om Twameva Sakshat, Shri Chandi Namoh Namah

The Kavach should be read aloud. It washes away the 'catches' and bathes the children in Divine Vibrations. May the wisdom and compassion of our Satguru flow through us and reach the four quarters of the earth.

JAY SHRI MATAJI!

Amen In the Name of Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi,the merciful, the compassionate.The protection of Shri Chandi.Salutation to Shri Ganesha. Salutation to Shri Saraswati.Salutation to Shri Guru. Salutation to the Deity worshipped in the family,that is Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi.May there be no obstacle.

Amen. Salutations to Narayan. Amen. Salutations to Naranaratam, that is, Shri Vishnu. Amen. Salutations to the Goddess Saraswati. Salutations to Ved-Vyasa, that is, Sage Vyasa, the all knowing.

Now begins the "Kavach" of the Devi.

The Presiding Sage for Shri Chandi-Kavach is Brahma, the metre is Anushtup. The Presiding Deity is Chamunda; The Main Seed is "Anganyasakta Matar". The Principle is Digbandha Devata. It is recited as part of Sapta-Shati, to please Jagadamba. Amen. Obeisance to Chandika.

Thus spoke Markandeya:

1) Amen. O Brahmadeva, please tell me that which is very secret and has not been told by anyone to anybody else and which protects all human beings in this world.

Brahmadeva said;

2) Brahmin, there is Devi Kavach which is most secret and useful to all beings. Please listen to that, O Great Sage.

3-5) The following nine names have been told by the Great Soul Brahmadeva Himself. Durga is known by these names:

1st SHAILAPUTRI Daughter of the King of Himalayas

2nd BRAHMACHARINI One Who observes the state of Celibacy

3rd CHANDRAGANTA One Who bears the Moon around Her neck

4th KOOSHMANDA Whose Void contains the Universe

5th SKANDAMATA Who Gave birth to Karttikeya

6th KATYAYANI Who incarnated to help the Devas

7th KALARATRI Who is even the destroyer of Kali

8th MAHAGAURI One Who made great penance

9th SIDDHIDATRI One Who grant Moksha

6-7) Those who are frightened, having been surrounded by the enemies on the battlefield, or are burning in fire, or being at an impassable place, would face no calamity, and would never have grief, sorrow, fear, or evil, if they surrender to Durga.

Those who remember You with great devotion indeed have prosperity. Undoubtedly, O Goddess of the Gods, You protect those who remember You.

9) The Goddess Chamunda sits on a corpse, Varahi rides on a buffalo, Aindri is mounted on an elephant and Vaishnavi on a condor.

10) Maheswari is riding on a bull, the vehicle of Kaumari is the peacock, Lakshmi, the Beloved of Shri Vishnu, is seated in a lotus and is also holding a lotus in Her Hand.

11) The Goddess Ishwari, of white complexion, is riding on a bull and Brahmi, Who is bedecked with all ornaments is seated on a swan.

12) All the mothers are endowed with Yoga and are adorned with different ornaments and jewels.

13) All the Goddesses are seen mounted in chariots and very angry. They are wielding conch, discus, mace, plough, club, javelin, axe, noose, barbed dart, trident, bow and arrows. These Goddesses are wielding their weapons for destroying the bodies of demons, for the protection of Their devotees and for the benefit of the Gods.

16) Salutations to You, O Goddess, of very dreadful appearance, of frightening valour, of tremendous strength and energy, the destroyer of the worst fears.

17) O Devi, it is difficult to have even a glance at You. You increase the fears of Your enemies, please come to my rescue. May Goddess Aindri protect me from the east. Agni Devata (God- dess of Fire) from the south-east, Varahi (Shakti of Vishnu in the form of the boar) from the south, Khadgadharini (Wielder of the sword) from the south-west, Varuni (The Shakti of Varuna the rain God) from the west and Mrgavahini, (Whose vehicle is the deer) may protect me from the north-west.

19) The Goddess Kaumari (The Shakti of Kumar, that is Karttikeya) protect me from the north and Goddess Shooladharini from the north-east, Brahmani, (The Shakti of Brahma) from above and Vaishnavi (Shakti of Vishnu) from below, protect me.

20-21) Thus Goddess Chamunda, Who sits on a corps, protects me from all the ten directions. May Goddess Jaya protect me from the front and Vijaya from the rear; Ajita from the left and Aparajita from the right. Goddess Dyotini may protect the top-knot and Uma may sit on my head and protect it.

22-23) May I be protected by Maladhari on the forehead, Yashswini on the eye-brows, Trinetra between the eye-brows, Yamaghanta on the nose, Shankini on both the eyes, Dwaravasini on the ears, may Kalika protect my cheeks and Shankari the roots of the ears.

24-27) May I be protected by Sugandha-nose, Charchika-lip, Amrtakala-lower lip, Saraswati-tongue, Kaumari-teeth, Chandika-throat, Chitra-ghanta-sound box, Mahamaya-crown of the head, Kamakshi-chin, Sarvamangala-speech, Bhadrakali-neck, Dhanurdhari-back. May Neelagreeva protect the outer part of my throat and Nalakoobari-windpipe, may Khadgini protect my shoulders and Vajra-dharini protect my arms.

28-30) May Devi Dandini protect both my hands, Ambika-fingers, Shooleshwari my nails and may Kuleshwari protect my belly. May I be protected, by Mahadevi-breast, Shuladharini-abdomen, Lalita Devi-heart, Kamini-navel, Guhyeshwari-hidden parts, Pootana-kamika-reproductive organs, Mahishavasini-rectum.

31) May Goddess Bhagavati protect my waist, Vindhyavasini-knees and the wish-fulfilling Mahabala may protect my hips.

32) May Narashini protect my ankles. May Taijasi protect my feet, may Shri protect my toes. May Talavasini protect the sole of my feet.

33) May Danshtrakarali protect my nails, Urdhvakeshini-hair, Kauberi-pores, Vagishwari-skin.

34) May Goddess Parvati protect blood, marrow of the bones, fat and bone; Goddess Kalaratri-intestines. Mukuteshwari-bile and liver.

35) May Padmavati protect the Chakras, Choodamani-phlegm (or lungs), Jwalamukhi lustre of the nails and Abhedya-all the joints.

36) Brahmani-semen, Chhatreshwari the shadow of my body, Dharmadharini-ego, superego and intellect (buddhi).

37) Vajrahasta-pran, apan, vyan, udan, saman (five vital breaths), Kalyanashobhana-pranas (life force).

38) May Yogini protect the sense organs, that is, the faculties of tasting, seeing, smelling, hearing and touching. May Narayni protect satwa, raja and tamo gunas.

39) Varahi-the life, Vaishnavi-dharma, Lakshmi-success and fame, Chakrini-wealth and knowledge.

40) Indrani-relatives, Chandika-cattle, Mahalakshmi-children and Bhairavi-spouse.

41) Supatha may protect my journey and Kshemakari my way. Mahalakshmi may protect me in the king's court and Vijaya everywhere.

42) O Goddess Jayanti, any place that has not been mentioned in the Kavach and has thus remained unprotected, may be protected by you.

43-44) One should invariably cover oneself with this Kavacha (by reading) wherever one goes and should not walk even a step without it if one desire auspiciousness. Then one is successful everywhere and all one's desire are fulfilled and that person enjoys great prosperity on the earth.

45) The person who covers himself with Kavacha becomes fearless, is never defeated in the battle and becomes worthy of being worshipped in the three worlds.

46-47) One who reads with faith every day thrice (morning, afternoon and evening), the 'Kavacha' of the Devi, which is inaccessible even to the Gods, receives the Divine arts, is undefeated in the three worlds, lives for a hundred years and is free from accidental death.

48) All disease, like boils, scars, etc. are finished. Moveable (scorpions and snakes) and immoveable (other) poisons cannot affect him.

49-52) All those, who cast magical spells, by mantras or yantras, on other for evil purposes, all bhoots, goblins, malevolent beings moving on the earth and in the sky, all those who mesmerise others, all female goblins, all yakshas and gandharvas are destroyed just by the sight of the person having Kavach in his heart.

53) That person receives more and more respect and prowess. On the earth he rises in prosperity and fame by reading the Kavacha and Saptashati.

54-56) His progeny would live as long as the earth in rich with mountains and forests. By the grace of Mahamaya, he would attain the highest place, that is inaccessible even to the Gods and is eternally blissful in the company of Lord Shiva.

SATYA LAKSHMI

Satya Lakshmi. I told awareness, She is the one who has given you awareness. Awareness is Lakshmi’s character. “Satya” means “the truth.” As you rise in your awareness, you know the truth. Now what is the truth? What is the truth? What are we aware of?

You are aware that you are the instrument of God and that He is working through you. You are aware of that because it’s flowing on your central nervous system. This is the truth of which you have to be aware. What is the other truth? Is who are you?

That you are the Sprit. And the third truth is who am I? And the fourth is who is God? What is your deity? If they become your awareness, then you have got Satya Lakshmi.

Satya Lakshmi- That is that you get the Awareness of Truth. But apart from that the awareness of truth is there, but you put this truth forward in a gracious manner.

This is the truth, you have it, not like this. You don’t have to hit people with the truth. You have to put it in a flower and give it to them. That is Satya Lakshmi.

Of course all the Lakshmi Tatvas are the heart settled powers within us but they are to be actually expressed in our brain. Brain is the Virata, is the Vishnu who becomes the Virata. So all these powers, specially this power, are in the brain. So the brain itself spontaneously behaves in such a manner that people think that this is a special type of personality.

A Sahaja Yogi always knows how to enjoy. Sahaja Yogi is never worried, anything he could enjoy.

………………. Supposing you see something absurd, ridiculous, then you should laugh and enjoy. This is very difficult thing, you see, the absurd. You should not get angry with someone because somebody is absurd or funny, but you should make it enjoyable.

So that is the greatest, I think one of greatest blessing that She gives you the power to enjoy. Otherwise whatever you may try, people do not enjoy anything, because they have become so ego-oriented that nothing goes into their heads. They have to be tickled here with an electrode.

Burn Yourself for the Light of the Divine

 

"These are special people, specially selected for a very special cause and you cannot waste your energy on small, nonsensical things. That is one thing you should know.

On this Diwali day you have to know that you have to burn yourself for the light of the Divine to absolutely spread all over. But don’t do it too much. Like some people came to me and told me, “Mother, we have given up our parents. We have given up this. We have given up that. Still we are not good!” So I said, “Why should you give up? You are catching onto something, then you are giving up, or automatically it is just finished?” “Ah, we were, you see, very much attached to our family, parents, country, this, that. And now we have given up some, but some.” Such half-baked people are no good, and don’t pay too much attention to them. They don’t deserve any attention. That is very much to be understood: that you should not be also like that, nor you should have friends like that, nor you should make them Sahaj Yogis.

A Sahaj Yogi is a special character of a soldier who fights for the truth. That kind of a personality, when you will have, there will be lights all over.

This Diwali day, I bless you all from my heart and I want you to respect yourself and understand what is the position of your being in this organisation, we can call, or in this movement of Sahaj Yoga, and how are we working it out. The attention should move from all these nonsensical, mundane things to your Self. It should be a very dynamic force that should work out. And I am sure next year it would be very different. We’ll have all the beautiful blessings of the Divine. We must do it collectively, understandingly.

Vidya Lakshmi

 

Vidya-Lakshmi -Vidya is the art of Sahaja Yoga, which you know, that is Vidya. The rest is all Avidya.

How to raise the Kundalini; how to awaken all the deities; how to cleanse yourself; how to cleanse others; all the knowledge; all the science about that is called as Vidya, the Lakshmi of that. Lakshmi is the grace, is the grace. Awareness.. that is gracious.

Awareness that is gracious. So that Lakshmi should be with you, is that not only to know the Vidya, you know that, but to have grace about it. The way people do things, for example, some people may just go on.. all that kind of nonsense you do. Sometimes the way we go on working, when I’m giving lecture and people are just working out. All that is most disgraceful and depressing. So not to do these methods of making the thing look so depressed… I mean you need not be serious people at all because Sahaja Yoga is not a serious thing, it is a play. It is a play of grace. You have to be but gracious; you are not to be disgraceful, that’s very important.

If you are disgraceful, then your Vidya is useless. I have seen many people all the time doing like this, doing like that; they think that if their left hand…jaw.. see? They have become now masters of this. There’s no grace about it. One has to see how to do it graciously. You see your Mother, how She moves Her hands and fingers. Not one day, one time, even in one action you will find Me doing something unrespectable, except when I copy you. So this is what it is, is the Vidya Lakshmi. Lakshmi is the grace within the Vidya.

Then the second one is Vidya Lakshmi. She is the one who teaches you the technique of handling the Divine power. Now that is to be understood very well, what is the Lakshmi? Lakshmi is graciousness. So she teaches you how to use this power with graciousness. Now, this is what is the blessing going to you so that you get the power of the Adya Lakshmi by which you become like water.

What is the water? It has got the cleansing power, and which I am, without water we cannot exist in this life. So that is the first blessing for you is that your face shines, with Adya Lakshmi as you become cleansed and that you can see all that is serious, all that is light and forgotten.

Vidya Lakshmi is the one, I told you, who gives you knowledge. Knowledge of how to handle the Divine Power graciously. I will give an example, I have seen many people, when they give the Bandhan, it is such a crude way. No, it is not to be done. It is a Lakshmi. So now you do it very carefully. You see Me, how I give all that. I never do that way. I cannot, with respect. With grace.

She represents the respect part. And that you get, that knowledge, how to do it gracefully. Everything is to be done gracefully, in a manner that looks gracious. Some people who talk have no grace, nothing! Some people who give knowledge of Sahaja Yoga also have no grace and they talk in a disgraceful manner. With all the grace, how to use the knowledge of the Divine is given by Vidya Lakshmi.

UNDERSTANDING GODS LOVE

 

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GOD'S LOVE ACTUALLY IS

"First let us be humble about it then we can understand what is love of God.

Love of God is a power, it is all pervading power. It is the subtle power which resides in all the elements, in all the molecules, in all the atoms. The vibrations that you see, say in a sulphur dioxide, when you see the isometric movement of the atoms, then know it is the love of God which is watching it.

Now it is easy to say that it is not love of God. But this is not very scientific way of looking at things. If you are scientific minded then, you have to understand this is the hypothesis which I am putting before you. And if it is not proved then you can deny.

Up until now, I would have accepted that you said there is no God but that also is not scientific, because you have not seen yet. You have not gone into that direction. You have not tried to find it out.

How can you say there is no God?

Only because, in your small little brain, you have conceived an idea that there is no God.

So, secondly you have to have an open mind to understand God’s love. A very open mind open mind like a student who goes to the university doesn’t challenge a professor, but sits down to listen to find out what the professor has to teach.

Thirdly, we must understand that we know very little very very little, wee bit. We are using a very weebit of our brain to understand it. so, whatever so called knowledge we have got is absolutely a limited knowledge. May be it is just ignorance or may be something mythical. Let us keep it as a hypothesis. Now, I say that there is God and I say that His love is all pervading.

All the great saints, incarnations, prophets all the great religions have said this. I am not saying this for the first time. I am only here to prove that they have said it, is the truth and you can find out whether it is the truth or not.

But you should be the seekers of truth and not just intellectuals or some sort of argumentative personalities. Try to understand that at human level you have not been able to discover that great power of love, is a fact, must accept. You have not been able to feel God’s love.

Or you might have read a lot, but you have had no experience of God. You have never felt His love Then, one must know that we have been ignorant. The darkness of ignorance has been on us and in darkness we are eating each other, you have no idea as to how we are related to each other. It is a crazy world we are creating today because of this darkness.

This darkness has to go away. And for that the light of God’s love has to come. "

"But we have to think about The One who has created us. Is he waiting for your destruction? Will he be happy with that? How much are we cooperating with Him? With what care, love, He has created us? With what hopes, whatever it is. What does He want to do for us, that we are sitting down and feeling guilty? And now I have to tell openly that it has come to you also through other vehicles apart from the psychologists, psychoanalysts. Psychoanalysts: the other day we had a girl, she came to see me. She’s French. Her English was wonderful, and she said, “Horrible psychologists! They make me mad!” I said, “Why?” “They said, ‘I have bad relationship with my mother, bad relationship with my father, bad relationship with every third person.’ I don’t have! I have absolutely pure relationship. They try to put that idea into my head that there’s something abnormal, pathological about me which I am not! And they are making my brother’s relationship also funny by telling him that I have bad relations with him!” This is it.

So, they hit at the point of pure love, disintegrate you. You can’t have good relationship with your own mother, with your own father, with your own sister, with your own brother, and nobody. Because you cannot love except for you are sex-points. You have just relationship of sex! Even animals have better relationship than we have if you have to accept the psychologists! And they take money to suggest all these nonsensical ideas into your head! There are some here sitting. I will face them later on. This is how they’re putting ideas, into your heads that, “You are a person who has no purity,” and that, “You are a sinner.” “You are a damned person and any person you look upon, you have only sex relationships, nothing else.” I mean, are we sex-points? With all this evolution, God has made us into a sex-point: that’s what we have done to ourselves, reduced ourselves to that point only. He has created you in your own glory and your own dignity. He has not created you to be only wasted like this."

EVERYTHING IS BUILT WITH A PURPOSE

As it is, I feel that human beings do not know one fundamental truth, that you are not determined. You are not the sum, for your physical, mental, emotional life, but you are designed for spiritual. The whole design of the human being is created to enjoy your spiritual life, and not material life. This is the basic, basic thing human beings don’t understand, and that’s why, if they knew this fundamental thing, they would seek their spirit first, and they would not seek other things, because if that is the thing which is going to give us the complete enrichment and nourishment, and also the fulfillment, then why run after the things which do not determine our life? All physicals – for example, this building we built, all right? Now, this building we built with stones and, say, mortars and other things, and electricity is put in, the lights are brought in, and the whole design is made. But why? Because there is a subtle purpose behind this building. If that purpose is not there, this building is useless. It will be just a haunting place. There would be no-one visiting this place if there is no spiritual life, if there is no spirit behind it. The purpose, the spirit, is the purpose. The purpose of human life is the spirit, and not the purpose that we seek.

Now what we do actually with ourselves is that when the purpose is the spirit, all of our energy we are wasting for something that is purposeless. Like, somebody who was interested only in counting these pillars, what will you call him? Or who will start counting these nice fittings, what do you call such a man? That, this is not the thing you are supposed to do here. What are you supposed to do here is to come for the purpose for which this building is built.

So, if you understand this fundamental thing, that the purpose of human being is spiritual, the whole universe is created to create human beings, for what? To be a part of these stones and the mortars? It is to become that spirit which is within you. So, once you understand our purpose, then we can talk about it.
