According to the founder of Sahaja Yoga, the most revered Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi (Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi), Kanya Puja (Kanya Puja) during Navratri is not merely an external religious ritual, but a means of experiencing the spiritual purity (Innocence) within us and the manifest energy of the Adi Shakti.
Shri Mataji's invaluable thoughts and divine messages regarding Kanya Puja and the Kanya ritual are based on the following main points:
1. The Girl Child: An Embodiment of Manifest Purity (Innocence)
Shri Mataji always said that young girls symbolize the purity (Innocence and Auspiciousness) of Shri Ganesha and Mother Gauri. There is no ego or deceit within them. When we perform Kanya Puja during Navratri, we are actually worshipping that "supreme purity" which is the foundation of our Mooladhara Chakra (Mooladhara Chakra).
According to Shri Mataji, Kanya Puja does not mean merely feeding them or giving them gifts for one day.
• Respect in daily life: Girls and women should always be respected in society as forms of the Goddess.
• Not a one-day show: If we touch a girl's feet on one day and disrespect women or our own daughters in society on the other days, that worship is futile.
3. Experiencing the Chaitanya Waves (Vibrations)
From the perspective of Sahaja Yoga, young girls are very good carriers of Chaitanya (Divine Vibrations). When they are worshipped with complete devotion and love, highly positive energy and Chaitanya begin to flow through the environment and the practitioner's chakras, further strengthening the path to Self-Realization (Self-Realization).
Shri Mataji taught in her discourses that Kanya Puja and Navratri spiritual practice should awaken compassion, selfless love, and a sense of protection in our heart chakra. This worship erases our ego and makes us humble.
