DIVINE SECRET HIDDEN IN NIDHIVAN

A divine secret hidden in Nidhivan -that not everyone knows

Vrindavan. The moment you hear the name, peacock feathers, the banks of the Yamuna, kadamba trees and the sound of the flute begin to echo in the mind. But Vrindavan also has a forest where even silence speaks during the day, where the trees are intertwined with one another, where tulsi plants stand in pairs, and where even sunlight does not properly reach the ground. The name of that forest is - Nidhivan.
People say that Nidhivan is not merely a forest, it is the sleeping chamber of Shri Radha and Shri Krishna. Even today, Rasleela takes place here every night. And whoever tries to witness this mystery either becomes blind, or mute, or insane, or dies. This is the story of that divine mystery.

1. What is Nidhivan? - The beginning of history
Nidhivan is a small forest spread across approximately two acres, but its glory is infinite. It is said that when Lord Shri Krishna performed Rasleela in Vrindavan during the Dwapar Yuga, He chose this very place. All the trees here are gopis. Yes, you heard that right. All the trees in Nidhivan have branches bent downward and intertwined with one another. During the day they look like trees, but at night those same trees take the form of gopis and perform rasa with Shri Krishna.

In the middle of Nidhivan there is a small temple called Rang Mahal. Every night, arrangements are made for Shri Radha and Shri Krishna to sleep in Rang Mahal. A sandalwood platform, a silk sheet, pillows, a water pot, betel leaves, a datun and adornment items are placed there by the priest every evening before he leaves. And in the morning when the temple doors are opened, marks are found on the platform as if someone had slept there during the night, the water pot is found empty, the betel leaves are found chewed, and the datun is found used. Even today, 5000 years later.

2. The divine mystery that astonished everyone - The story of Lalita Sakhi
To understand this mystery, we will have to go back 100 years.
There lived a blind old woman in Vrindavan - her name was Lalita. People called her Lalita Sakhi. She was not blind from birth. It is said that she was the greatest devotee of Nidhivan. Every evening she would circumambulate Nidhivan and say, "Just once, only once, I want to see Rasleela with my own eyes."
One day she became determined. She said to the priest of Nidhivan, "Tonight I will hide in Nidhivan and watch the rasa."
The priest strongly forbade her, "Do not do this, whoever has stayed here at night has not remained safe."
But Lalita did not listen. That night she secretly hid behind a huge tulsi bush in Nidhivan. After 8 p.m., Nidhivan is closed, everyone is made to leave, even animals and birds leave the forest.
Around midnight, what Lalita saw made her soul tremble.
She saw all the trees of Nidhivan slowly turning into gopis. One beautiful gopi was emerging from each tree. The tulsi plants that stand in pairs were becoming the companions of Radha and Krishna. And a divine light emerged from the Rang Mahal in the middle. In that light, Shri Krishna appeared with His flute, with Shri Radha Rani beside Him.
Then the Rasleela began. Thousands of gopis, Krishna in the middle, and the sound of the flute all around. Even the water of Yamuna Ji stopped, and the wind also became still. Lalita was watching everything, tears flowing from her eyes.
But then Radha Rani's gaze fell upon the tulsi bush where Lalita was hiding. Radha Rani gestured. Two gopis came and caught Lalita and took her before Radha Rani.
Radha Rani smiled and said, "You have seen our divine secret, now you will have to pay the price for it."
Lalita became frightened, she said, "Forgive me, Radhe."
Radha Rani said, "You have seen the rasa, but now you will not be able to tell anyone about it, because the world will not be able to bear this mystery."
And the very next moment, the light in Lalita's eyes disappeared. She became blind. In the morning when the priests found her unconscious in Nidhivan, she had already become blind. But there was a wondrous radiance on her face.
People asked, "What did you see at night?"
Lalita said, "What I saw is not meant to be spoken of, but to be felt. I saw that there are no trees in Nidhivan, they are gopis, and even today Krishna performs rasa there."
Since then people say that anyone who stays in Nidhivan at night becomes blind.

3. 5 scientifically unexplained mysteries of Nidhivan
Nidhivan has not only a story, but also such facts that science has not been able to explain to this day.
First mystery - The intertwining of the trees: The branches of the trees in Nidhivan do not grow straight upward, they are bent downward and intertwined with one another. Scientists examined their soil, examined the water, but found no reason why the trees grow this way. Devotees say that during the rasa at night they hold hands and dance, which is why they remain intertwined during the day as well.

Second mystery - Pairs of tulsi: Throughout Nidhivan, tulsi plants grow in pairs. One Krishna and one Radha. You will never find a single tulsi plant alone. And surprisingly, even after the ground beneath each pair of tulsi becomes dry, it remains lush and green.

Third mystery - The absence of animals and birds: After 7 p.m., not a single animal or bird remains in Nidhivan. Even the monkeys that leap around all over Vrindavan leave Nidhivan as evening falls. The birds also fly away. As if they know that the entry of humans and animals is now forbidden here.

Fourth mystery - The bed in Rang Mahal: This is the biggest mystery. The bed that is prepared in Rang Mahal is found disheveled in the morning. It looks as though two people slept there. The priests prepare a perfectly clean bed every evening, but in the morning there are creases on it. Betel leaves are found chewed. This has been happening every day for the past 500 years.

Fifth mystery - The water of the well: There is an ancient well in Nidhivan, Vishakha Kund. It is said that when the gopis became thirsty during the rasa, Krishna created this well with His flute. Even today the water of this well is sweet, while the water of the other wells in Vrindavan is salty. And the water of this well never dries up.
4. The real divine mystery of Nidhivan - Time coming to a standstill
Now we come to the greatest divine mystery that very few people know about.
Time stops in Nidhivan.
It is said that the Rasleela that takes place in Nidhivan does not happen according to the time on our clocks. It is equal to a single moment of Brahma. One night here is only a few minutes there. Therefore, when the priest opens the temple in the morning, it seems to him that only a few hours have passed, but the rasa has continued there throughout the night.
Once an English collector came. He did not believe these things. He said, I will install a camera in Nidhivan at night and see what happens.

He had CCTV cameras installed all around. In the evening everyone was made to leave. In the morning when the camera footage was checked, all the cameras were found to be malfunctioning. One showed only white light, another showed only fog. And the one camera that was working showed only a bright beam of light moving throughout Nidhivan after midnight.
The real mystery of Nidhivan is not that rasa takes place there, the real mystery is that love is still alive there. That love which sees neither time nor era. That love which is still alive today in the pairs of tulsi, in the intertwined trees, in the creases of the closed bed.

5. What does Nidhivan teach us?
The divine mystery of Nidhivan teaches us three things.
First - To see God, you do not need eyes, you need devotion. Lalita saw with her eyes and became blind, but those who see with devotion still feel the rasa today.
Second - Nature also worships. The trees of Nidhivan, tulsi, Yamuna, all are engaged in devotion. Why do we humans forget this.
Third - Love never dies. The rasa that took place on the banks of the Yamuna 5000 years ago still takes place every night in Nidhivan. This means that true love is beyond time and place.
So whenever you go to Vrindavan, do not go to Nidhivan merely to wander around. Stand there for a moment with your eyes closed. Touch the soil there. You may hear the sound of the flute, you may feel Radha Rani's adornment in the fragrance of tulsi.
Because the divine mystery hidden in Nidhivan is not any ghost or spirit, it is love itself, it is Shri Krishna Himself who even today enjoys pastimes there with His Radha.
And yes, one final thing. Never bring even a single leaf by plucking it from Nidhivan. Because it is not a leaf, it is the finger of a gopi. And she will not curse you, but her love will make you a part of Vrindavan forever.❤️🙏
